SLO
Service Level Objective
Internal target underlying an SLA.
Cloud & Infrastructure
When you'd see it: Reliability and SRE practice. The SLO is the internal reliability target a team commits to.
Why it matters: An SLO is the specific target, say 99.95% of requests succeeding, that a team manages to, usually set tighter than the customer-facing SLA so there is margin. It is the number that decides whether to ship features or fix reliability.
