Retrospective

Sprint Retrospective

A recurring meeting where a team reflects on how it worked and agrees on changes to improve. Held at the end of each sprint in Scrum.

When you'd see it: End of every sprint, often shortened to 'retro.' Common formats ask what went well, what did not, and what to change.

Why it matters: The retro is where a team actually improves its own process. Skipping it, or never acting on it, is why teams repeat the same problems.

Common mistakes: Running retros that never produce a change anyone follows up on. A retro without action items is venting, not improvement.
