Sprint
A fixed-length iteration, usually one to four weeks, in which a Scrum team commits to a set of work and aims to finish it. Ends with a review and a retrospective.

When you'd see it: Any Scrum team. 'What's in this sprint?' and 'that's next sprint' are everyday planning phrases.
Why it matters: The fixed length forces prioritization and creates a predictable delivery rhythm. The risk is treating the commitment as a hard deadline and cutting quality to hit it.
Common mistakes: Loading a sprint past the team's real capacity, then rolling the same unfinished items forward every sprint.
